Smooch Spritzer cards

It's me again...

So in Stampin' Ups Summer Mini Catalog (Available May 1) we will be carrying the NEW SMOOCH SPRITZ in Golf Glow, Silver Foil and Log Cabin. I have the Gold and Silver now and they are so GREAT! I am totally lovin' them. You can give your project a fine mist for just a little shimmer or you can really lay it on and use your heat gun to dry it and you get a larger splatter look.

Here are some of the samples I have made using the Smooch. 

"You Rock Card"

On this card I used a very heavy spritz on the stars and used my heat gun to dry them. The color pooled to make large splotches. I used the Itty Bitty background stamps to create spatter on the base of the card and the black piece, with Whisper White Craft ink pad. I clear embossed the Extreme Guitar on Basic Black card stock. (Some how I got flex of white in it, but it works)     

"1st Down Fry Box" 

     

 

On this French Fry Box, I used a medium spray in the Gold Glow Smooch Spritz and heat set it with my heat gun. I used a very heavy spritz on the pendant. You can see on the back of the box how I came back in after spritzing with the Itty Bitty Background stamps to create a two tone effect.

SUPLIES USED: All STAMPIN' UP products

STAMPS: Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Just Football

CARDSTOCK: Always Artichoke, Dusty Durango, Natural Ivory, Chocolate Chip

INKS: Always Artichoke, Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip

TOOLS: Gold Glow Smooch Spritzer, Crop-a-dile, Stampin' Dimensionals

OTHER: Eyelet 

TIPS: 1. Cut out box* & mist with Smooch, let set for a minute, and then heat set. When dry, stamp with Itty Bitty background stamp and Always Artichoke ink pad. Then ink edges with Always Artichoke and a Stamp Sponge. Adhere the sides of the box using sticky strip. (This is the best dry adhesive for holding boxes and bags together)     

2. Stamp Just Football images on Natural Ivory. Cut out football and helmet. Affix an eyelet in the helmet. Punch out the 1st Down image using the 1" circle punch. Punch a 1 1/8" circle out of Chocolate Chip and adhere the circles together.

3. Cut a 3" pennant out of the natural ivory and spritz it heavily with the gold Smooch. Heat set it. adhere the pennant to Dusty Durango cardstock and cut it out again leaving a small border. Ink the edges with Dusty Durango. Adhere all the parts to the front of the box.

"For You Humming Bird Card"

     

Now for the project I told you about yesterday. As I said before this is one of my new favorite stamp sets. i have already made many samples with this set. i love the vintage feel you can get form it. Vintage is the new, (Old), big thing right now. 

SUPPLIES I USED: All STAMPIN' UP Products

STAMPS: Elements of Style (available May 1)

CARDSTOCK: Basic Grey, Sahara Sand 

INKS: Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip 

MARKERS: Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery

 TOOLS: Silver Foil Smooch Spritz,Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, 1" & 1 1/8" circle punches 

OTHER: Pearl accents, Elementary designer ribbons, twine, crystal accent 

TIPS: 1. cut a 4 14" x 11" card base out of the Basic Grey cardstock. Fold it in half. Lightly spritz with the Silver Foil Smooch. Let dry. stamp the solid floral image on the top of the base of the card using Not the Not Quite Navy ink pad.

2. cut a 4' x 4 1/4" piece of Basic Grey cardstock, sandwich it in the Lattice embossing folder and run it through the Big Shot. Ink the piece using the Not Quite Navy ink pad and a stampin' sponge. adhere to towards the bottom of the card base.

3. Cut and adhere a piece of the Elementary ribbon to the card base and tie the right side with a piece of twine.

4. With the Chocolate Chip ink pad, stamp the floral twig image in the Sahara Sand cardstock. color using Stampin' Write markers. and cut it out. Spritz a very fine mist over the top of this piece and let dry. once dry adhere it to the top of the card using the stampin' Dimensionals.

5. Stamp the humming bird on the Basic grey with Not Quite Navy and cut it out. adhere it to the top of the card with dimensionals.

6. Stamp the For You on Sahara Sand with the Navy ink. use a 1" circle punch to punch it out. punch out a 1 1/8" circle out of the Basic Grey and adhere the circles together. affix this to the top of the card with a dimensional.

7. accent card with pearl accents. and a crystal accent for the birds eye.

Monday's Bloom #8

Hi Guys - 

Sorry I am so behind on the Monday Blooms. I have been workin' really hard though! I made 53 new samples last week and I can't wait to share them with you. 

I found a series of box and bag patterns on the Demonstrators website. (One of the many reasons to become a Stampin' Up Demonstrator) I printed them all and took the time to make a sample of each one so I could see what they looked like. There were over 15 different patterns and I plan to share them all over the next few weeks.

Okay, I know we are well past Easter, but I guess I still have it on my mind, maybe it is all the candy still sitting around here. This box and bag combo just screams carrot and egg to me. What do you think?    

 

This box is pretty easy to do. You can find the pattern in the right column of the blog, under the Patterns tab. It also lends itself to be a great Holiday gift/ornament or decoration.

THE DIRECTIONS:

1. I cut out the box out of Dusty Durango cardstock and scored on the dotted lines.

2. I stamped It with an old (Retired) SU background that looks like chicken wire. Then folded it up. Only glue one side right now so you can get the ribbon in place.

3. I took Green Galore ribbon and made one large loop, about 3"1/2 to 4", and 4 smaller ones, about 3".the large loop is for hanging it up if you'd like. i then held all the loops tightly together in one hand and tide a piece of the ribbon around the bottom of the loops to hold them together. this knot is large enough to keep the ribbon from coming out of the box. 

4. i then placed the ribbon at the top if the box, insert candy or gift if you'd like and the closed up the box using sticky strip.  

5. I used an old tag punch to punch the tag out of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. And I used the Well Scripted and the Trendy Trees stamp set. (Trendy Trees is 20% OFF until the end of April)     

 

  This Bag isn't hard either.

THE DIRECTIONS:

1. I used the "Egg Bag pattern" and cut it out of Lavender Lace cardstock.

2.I used the Razzle Dazzle stamp set to stamp the background and Rick Razzleberry ink pad and a sponge to ink the edges of the box. then adhered the side of the bag using sticky strip.

3. Using the large oval punch I punched eggs out of the Razzleberry Lemonaide Designer series paper and inked the edges with Crushed Curry and Dusty Darango.

4. I used the tag punch and the Boho Blossoms punch to punch a tag and flowers out of the Razzleberry papers too. I affixed brads in the centers of the flowers.  

5. I used some green dot paper from the Sweat Pea designer series paper pack to create grass using the Eyelet border punch.

6. I then adhered all the elements to front and back of the bag. And added a little of the Green Galore ribbon.

      
   

My pre-order stamps from the "Summer Mini Catalog" came this week too. I couldn't resist making some stuff with them too. I am totally loving the NEW "Elements of Style" stamp set. Vintage is sooooooo in right now and the NEW "Smooch Spritzers" are so cool. I'm just going to have to get them all. We have 4 colors Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer, and Log Cabin. Here are some examples I made using them.

On the card above I use the New Sliver Foil Smooch Spritz on the background. I will have directions on how to create this card tomorrow.

On this card I used the Gold Glow Smooch on the textured accent piece and rubbed it in a little. It just makes it pop.  

 

This is one of my favorite cards with this stamp set. I used the Gold Smooch on the ivory piece after I had stamped and colored the images. I also used it on the Soft Suede cardstock just over the stamped images, not anywhere else on that piece.

Color Revolutions

There is a Revolution going on over at Stampin' Up...

a COLOR revolution that is.

Stampin' Up is stirring things up and getting rid of some of the poor sellers and bringing back a lot of old In Colors that people have been dying for. Come July 1 with the New Idea Book and Catalog, there will be some major changes in our color families.

I am soooooooooo excited!

Past In Colors like Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, & Wild Wasabi are back and are part of our NEW core colors. They have also moved everything around and have made changes like Regal Rose is now in the Brights Collects. They have done away with Color Families and now have 4 Color Collections; Neutrals, Brights, Subtles, & Regals. They have also added 5 NEW colors Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, & Crumb Cake (otherwise know as Kraft)

Londyn's Frame

Having a son doesn't give me much opportunity to make "girly" stuff. So when I had a customer ask for a vintage baby girl frame, I jumped all over it. I loved making this frame. 

 

If you ever need a gift or just want a frame for yourself, I do custom frames like this one for $20.00 each. There are more examples in my photo gallery. Just give me a theme and colors and I'll get her done. : ) Email me with your orders.

Monday's Bloom #7

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted a Monday Bloom. life has been busy. I wanted to show you another ornament I did for our Easter tree.  

 
 

These are my favorite ornaments to make. I made it out of a Prima tin.

Recycling is cool!

Heres how:

1. Inside the tin I adhered a vintage bird sticker, put a little moss (for the nest) inside the tin and a couple of mini eggs i got at the craft store.

2. a glued the tin shut because the eggs were a little fat and the tin wouldn't stay completely closed. i used Liquid Nails. it's never going to open again : )    

3. I painted the tin with Making Memories light turquoises blue and after it dried i put a coat of the Making Memories pearl varnish to soften the color. let it dry then sanded it.

4. I punched a circle of pattern paper for the back and then adhered another sticker. i aged the edges with a sponge and brown ink.

5. Using tacky tape, I adhered ribbon along the seam of the tin and created a loop to hold the ornament on the tree.

6. Using the Stampin' Up tiny tag punch, I punched the word Egg out of a sticker and and adhered it to the front of the ornament. I used baby powder to take the sticky off the back of the sticker that is hanging off the edge of the ornament and added a flower.

Happy Easter

  I hope you are having a wonderful Eater Holiday. Did the Eater bunny bring you all you wanted...LOTS of chocolate? Mine did. : ) Hee, hee!

These are a couple of wooded door hangers I made. Crape paper...my new LOVE.

One of my good fiend's birthday was last week and I made this pink door hanger for her.

Hippity Hoppity Easters on it's way

Easter is almost here. I love Easter, I guess I love all holidays. My mom made all the holidays growing up, so special. Decorations, food, gifts! It was great being a kid, believing in the spirit of the Holiday. Giving and receiving. I just want to do the same for Logan.  

 

  I made this banner with almost all Stampin' Up products and my new favorite... crape paper. Love it. use it and instantly everything has a vintage twist.

Easter Tree

Here is the Blue chenille Easter Tree I purchased last year. I decorated the bottom of the tree with a fence, flowers, tiny eggs and a chipboard rabbit.

 

I have been having a great time adding to my Easter decorations this week.

Easter Tree Ornaments

It is starting to get really nice out...finally! Spring is really here. I am so excite.

it has put me in the mood to make some new Easter decorations. Last year I bought a light blue chenille Easter tree, so I decided we needed some ornaments to go on it. I made these 4 wooden tag ornaments using some old clip art I found.

I found the wooden tags at Hobby Lobby and painted and sanded the edges.

 

 

 there were already holes int he tags making it easy to use the Clop-a-dile to affix the eyelets.

Buttons, flowers, glitter, thread, & stick pins add life and texture to the ornaments.
