So I finaly got my new stamp set I won with my honorable mention in The Stampin' Success magazine this month. I got to pick which set I wanted and I just loved this set... Friends Fur-Ever.
Isn't it cute. There are so many things that can be done with it. It is kind of like playing with paper dolls. Any who, this past weekend was Art Unleashed, an art auction bennifiting the Humane Society. I have partisipated for about 4 or 5 years now. So I was in quite the puppy lovin' mood and desided to brake in my new set. Here is what I came up with.

Stampin’ Techniques Class
“The Art of Masking”
In my experience technique classes can be very overwhelming. You learn all kinds of new techniques and by the time you get home you have forgotten half of what you learned. With this in mind I have developed a new techniques class. I will demonstrate different application for one technique and you will create 3 to 4 projects using this one technique. This way you will become familiar and comfortable with the technique and be able to use it in the future.
SIGN UP: all you need to do to sign up is email me with your full name, phone number, home address and email address. Put “Technique Class” in the subject line. As soon as I sign you up I will send you a confirmation email.
COST: $10.00 (due at the class)
PROMOTIONS: If you place a $25.00 or more Stampin’ Up order the night of the class you will receive 50% off the cost of the class.

Hi All -
Every year the Human Society of greater KC has an art auction, they call it Art Unleashed. All the proceeds from the auction go to helping the Human Society take care of all the pets that are up for adoption there. Click HERE for more information on Art Unleashed and the Humane Society.
For the last few years I have donated artwork. This year I took my doodle boards and created two dog house frames.
First I created this "Santa's Best Helper" frame
Can you see the real lights on the roof? I had my husband drill holes in the rulers so i could stick the lights trough. then i created a little pouch on the back of the frame where the battery pack is hidden, but can be accessed at anytime.
Here are some other details:
the candy canes are pearlized
There are Filo Clay ornaments on the tree.
and a glittered ornament hangs form the roof.
The second frame is "Shaggy Chic"
the crown and wings help make this frame regal enough for any royal pooch.
Pearls and glitter
Velvet ribbon flowers with crystal gem centers.
The backside with signature.

Hi All-
Today I wanted to share with you a couple things I have been working on for The Recruit Crew. The Recruit Crew is one of the many helpful tools Stampin' Up! offers it's demonstrators. This is a 10 week program divided up in to "Acts" that helps us with our business, giving us skill to make us more confident in our endeavors. In the First Act we were to make our "My Why" statement, why am I a Stampin up Demonstrator. we were to answer this question and create a piece of artwork that we where to place somewhere we could reflect on it everyday. Well, here is what I made...
In Act 1 we were also supposed to write down our Stampin' Up! story and share it with all of our customers. Here is my Story...
When my son was about 4 months old I was
introduce to scrapbooking by a friend. I started taking all kinds of
scrapbooking classes at one of our local scrapbook stores. I immediately fell
in love with paper crafting and soon set my sites on becoming a scrapbook
teacher.
Through taking these classes, I met lots of new people
with the same interests as mine. One of these new friends invited me to a
Stampin’ Up workshop. I had never used stamps before, but I kind of liked it.
This is where I met Dawn (the demonstrator). Dawn was great, I signed up to
have a workshop at my home and started going to her bimonthly stamp camps,
where I learned all kinds of new stamping techniques. At some point early on
Dawn suggested that I would be a good demonstrator and that I should join her
team. Well I didn’t know if I was ready for that. You see, Straight out of
college I had sold cosmetics and had had a horrible experience at that, I didn’t
want to go through that again, so I politely said “No thanks” and Dawn said “No
pressure, if you ever change your mind let me know.”
Over the next 8 years Dawn and I became good
friends and I never missed a stamp camp. I taught at a couple scrapbook stores
& conventions. I was on a few different design teams &, worked for a
couple different manufactures. I also attended CHA several times. The last
manufacture I worked for went out of business. This left me with no job. Working
closely with the owner/designer of this company, I had had a taste of what
owning my own business would be like. I no longer wanted to work for someone
else, but I wasn’t sure what direction to go in and I knew I was going to need
help along the way. Then I ran into Dawn again and I started picking her brain.
It quickly became clear that Stampin’ Up! was what I needed. They provided
quality merchandise, a creative outlet for me to thrive in, my own website with
support and LOTS of training materials for me to use. I still had cold feet,
but I realized there was no pressure. Nothing was going to happen to me if I
decided I didn’t like it, and I am a crater, so any supplies I get with my
starter kit I would use.
I took a
deep breath and stepped in and haven’t looked back.

Hi All -
Today is my sons first day back to school. Yikes! He is getting so old...3rd grade now! I think it is odd that school starts on Friday, but who am I to judge. His NEW teacher isn't even going to be there today, she has a wedding to attend, on Friday the 13th. Yikes!
Last night he told me he was getting TOO OLD for me to walk him in on the First Day. I didn't know how I felt about that...a little proud... and a little sad. Sometimes it feels like BTS is as rough on the parents as it is on the kids. My belly has had butterflies in it all day.
I ended up walking him in, we saw some other moms doing it. : ) Got my pictures and got out of there. Couldn't figure out weather he wanted me there or not, not sure if he knew either... Oh I am pining for the good old days, when he wanted me to come to his classroom and he WANTED to give me a hug and kiss (okay a hug) in front of his NEW classmates. Oh the teenage years are on the horizon! Back you fowl fool, back! (I have my soared in had trying to fend the land of the youth) Okay I think I am loosing it....
On to bigger and better things. : ) The September issue of Stampin' Success is out, this is the magazine for Stampin" Up! demonstrators. And now I can show you the project I won an honorable mention with. There are only 2 winners and 2 honorable mentions every month. Yippee for me! I won a stamp set of my choice. The backpack would be great for holding a small gift or some candy and the front pocket of the backpack could hold a gift card, small photo, money, keys, charm or a small card. Super cute pattern. I love it.

Hi All – This
summer has just flown by. I can’t believe my son starts back to school
nextweek. Oh my, my summer vacation is almost over. Yikes! Time
