Monday's Bloom #19

Hi All -

Tomorrow is the first day of February. Have you started your Valentines shopping yet? Are you going out for a romantic dinner with your loved one?I have started thinking about it, but I am not sure exactly what to do yet. I created the duo below with some friends in mind.  

 

I used the New rub-ons from the Stampin' Up! Occasions mini catalog, Love Impressions. 

They were easy to put on the jar, you just need to make sure you have them completely adhered before removing the outer sheet.  I love how easy they are to use and the are so many different images.

One set , 18 and going Part 5

Hi All -

Here is the last of the 18 cards I made using Stampin' Up's "Playful Pieces" stamp set. 

I created a baby rattle using the large circle, star, and the handle stamp.

I had fun creating the background on this cards too. I used the large and small circle and the star stamps. The stars are embossed in white.


This card has a gift card pocket inside.

The next card is a birthday gift created with the large, medium, and small trapiziod shapes and the long bar and bow stamp.

The background was created with the large circle stamp. 

The third card is a Christmas card.

The tree was also created with the large, medium, and small trapiziod shapes and the triangle and star stamps. The ornaments where created by the small circles. 

The last card is also a Christmas card. 

The ornaments where created with the large circle and raindrop stamps. The hangers where created with the mini trapiziod stamp and the ornament hanger stamp. 

The top ornament is decorated with the tulip stamp. The second ornament is decorated with the swiggly line stamp embossed in white, and the third ornamnet was decorated with the small star burst embossed in white and a gem.

One set , 18 and going Part 4

Hi All -

Today I have some more cards created with the "Playful Pieces" stamp set from Stampin Up!  

 

The first card is a thank you card. I used the large  & small flower shape, & the small rain drop to create the circle tag. I used the small circle to create the background of the card front.    

To create the large heart on the card below, I stamped two of the large raindrops side by side. The background was created with the small heart. 

 

 The heart inside the card was made using the scalloped heart emboss-let die. 

The First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper was used for the interior of the card.

     

After using the catalog to inspire some ideas and teach me how to use the different shapes in this stamp set, I was able to come up with this card on my own. I was pretty excited about how it turned out. I was thinking May Day basket and then about my grandma's birthday. She loves flowers and the color blue. I hope you enjoys getting this card.

The Vintage wall paper embossing folder was used to create the background texture on the card front.

The small flower stamp was punched out with the small flower punch & popped up. 

     

   

 I used the tulip shaped stamp to make the large flower on the front of this card. i also used it to create the butterfly.

   

The the greeting and the polka-dot heart on this card came from the "Filled with Love" stamp set.

One set , 18 and going Part 3

Hi All -

I hope your Monday is going well. I have some more cards to share with you today. These cards were also made with the "Playful Pieces" Set from Stampin' Up! 

I created the background of this card using the small circle stamp in the set.

The ties were created with the bow stamp from the set.

The presents were from an old Stampin' Up! set and the tag is from the Tiny Tags set, but I used the bow stamp for the top of the popped up present.

To create the cup cakes I used the tulip flower upside down & the small base. I used the top of the ornament to create the cherries.

   



This greating is from the "Create a Cupcake" set from the New Mini Occasions catalog. 

The ice cream cones where created with the tulip flower stamp,the triangle stamp and the swiggly line stamp. I drew the faces using a basic black Stampin' Write marker.

The background on this card was created with the medium raindrop stamp. 

These ice cream cones were also created using the tulip stamp and the small triangle. I drew the drips and the puddle, but could have used the candlewick stamp to make the drips.



this greeting and Heart stamp came from the "Filled with Love" stamp set which is on special right now, this is the last day to get the special.

One set , 18 and going Part 2

Hi All -

I thought I would share some more of the cards I have made with the "Playful Pieces" Hostess set. 

I really enjoyed making these nature cards with the "Playful Pieces" set.  

On this card I used the flower shape, rain drops and circles to create the tree tops.


 

The Heart used in the card came form the "Filled with love" stamp set.

This card we made at my last stamp camp. 

I created the tree top on this card using the small flower stamp and layering different colors. I used Pear Pizazz, Old Olive and Always Artichoke.

Some more Projects to show you

My Holiday Cards and my Holiday Gift Giving Stamp Camps are some of my favorite classes of the hole year. This is one of the cards we made and the Holiday Cards Camp. I love how this turned out. don't ask me how i got this bow to look so perfect, i think god stepped in and took over. : )    

I have seen lots of versions of the door card made this year. Here is my take on it. I created it so that it will fit in Stampin' Ups! Small open-end envelope.

 

This is another item I have seen different versions of lately. I had to put my twist on it and came up with this pattern on my own. We also made a recipe card to fit inside the apron. I printed out the recipe for gingerbread man ornaments to put on the card and suggested to my class that they make some of the ornaments and put them in the apron. It would be a great gift for a neighbor or co-worker.  

Last, but not least this bird box has to be one of my very favorite items form the holidays. I got the idea for this one from a card I saw. It was sooooooooo beautiful I just had to do it. White ink on kraft paper is soooooooo awesome!

One set , 18 and going

Hi All -

I was able to get the Hostess set "Playful Pieces" a while back. I took sometime to play with it last week and OMG it was fun. I started out by using some of the samples in the catalog to get my juices flowing. Before long I had made 18 different cards with the one set. And they are pretty cut to boot. At my next team meeting I think we will sit an play a bit more. Maybe we can come up with something new.

Another shopping bag card. We actually made this one in a class I taught a couple of months ago.

While working on all these cards, I really got into stamping my own backgrounds. I think my next Stampin' Techniques Class is going to be on this subject. On this card I embossed the circles in white and Glittered the centers of the flowers with brown glitter.

Playing Catch Up

Since I was sooooo busy for the last few months and feel like i haven't been blogging very well at all, I have desided to show you some of the things I was working on. This card was from one of my camps in November. I was fun figuring out how to make this one.

This next card was from my Emerging Color Class. Love this one. It was so much fun seening this come to life. My Customers really enjoyed this class too.  

This card was from my Holiday cards Stamp Camp.  One of my students gave me the idea for this fold. I had never used it before.  

We did the inside too.

Monday's Bloom #18

Good morning every body -

It seem like forever since I have posted any work on here. I am soooooooo sorry for that. Well I am going to make up for that today and days to come.  Today's Blooms where created from the Filled with Love stamp set. Which is part of the Filled with love bundle special we have going on right now, but it is about to end so rush on over to My website to purchase it if you are interested.

 

 

I used Crumb Cake and Real Red cardstock, Real Red ink and a black Stampin' Write marker to create this look. 

I used Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo, and Pretty in Pink cardstock, Baja Breeze and Melon Mambo ink.  To create the heart, I first stamped in Baja Breeze and then painted each individual heart with glue, one row at a time, then I glittered each row. So I started with the light colored rows and then graduated to the darker colors. I used three shades of pink glitter.
